Building psychology safety is important as I am always worried about making a mistake even when I haven’t made a mistake. I often worry about the outcomes of something which impacts my work as I always aim to do things in the right way. As indicated, building psychological safety encourages one to speak their mind, to stand for what is important, be innovative and take action despite the risk of making a mistake. In order to achieve this, I must build a mental safety where I know making a mistake does not define who I am. I will also ensure that I am not so hard on myself when I make a mistake and always put my effort into what I do. By being innovative, I will learn from my mistakes and take different approaches in my work. This is important as it builds on resilience and healthy mental space to work without worrying about making mistakes.
