I eagerly waited for January 2017 to join the university, I felt like I had waited forever at senior school to finish and attain the grades to join the university. On my mind, I thought college life was one full of freedom, fun and always clubbing with less studying. This was the kind of freedom I could not access being under my parents who the farthest I was far from them was just a stone throw out that only when I was in my bedroom, or during school hours. I didn’t have a chance to walk to school just like other kids and some of my friends. Every day my dad dropped me to school in the morning and at the evening mum picked me up. I lived in a gated community and the only friends that I knew of were my neighbors and who most of them we went to the same college. Joining the university my all life changed especially after the science festival.(632words)
