Validity and reliability are primarily quantitative research concepts. Morse, Barrett, Mayan, Olson, and Spiers (2002) argue that their exclusion from qualitative research design undermines the credibility and rigor of qualitative research conclusions. Are they correct in this assertion? Why or why not?

This assignment provides another opportunity for you to evaluate a variety of digital and assistive technologies for supporting diverse learners. For this assignment, you will create a presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint or other presentation software of your choice. To prepare for this assignment, it is recommended that in addition to reading  Edyburn (2013) Chapter 1 that you also review the Week One Instructor Guidance. Additionally, be sure to view the TEDx Talks (2012) video Can Technology Change Education? Yes!: Raj Dhingra at TEDxBend. While you watch the video, pay particular attention to the story Dhingra tells about the Firefly Mobile Learning Bus utilized in Turkey and how students are connecting to technology for teaching and learning in rural parts of the world.

In learning organizations, mistakes and errors are viewed as learning opportunities– improvements are often made based on lessons learned and employees are empowered to succeed and learn from their mistakes. In fact, training may be introduced to prevent repeated mistakes. In a traditional organization, the emphasis is not on the individual, but on the process, mistakes are often avoided and learning is conducted in traditional classroom environments in which structured curriculum is pushed to a group. Consequently, vital lessons are not learned and history may be repeated. This assignment will expand upon the first. Using the initial understanding of learning and traditional organizations, the learner will expand the understanding of these types of organizations and compare the two. Learners will view the leadership types that would be most applicable to each type of organization.
