You are the director of compensation for a midsized organization. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation that justifies the implementation of a new compensation strategy that will support the motivational needs of knowledge workers and reinforce the real-time performance appraisal system that the organization has embraced. While your goal is to retain, motivate, and grow the current workforce of multi-generational knowledge workers, you must also justify to your senior management that this compensation strategy is competitive in the marketplace.
Your presentation should describe a compensation program for knowledge workers. The title of the knowledge worker’s position is entirely up to you (e.g., sales executive I, systems engineer III, etc.). You may use various sources (including the lesson materials), but you must use at least one additional resource from the CSU Online Library. Include a reference slide, and cite any sources used in proper APA format. Your presentation should be a minimum of 12 slides in length—not counting the title and reference slides. You may also use the slide notes function to explain slide contents as necessary, but this is not required.
Strengths and weaknesses of problem solving by a team.
Write a persuasive essay that examines the situations in which a team would be the best choice for solving a problem in an organization. In what situations would an individual be the best choice? How does the use of technology affect your answer? What does it mean to be a participant-observer of a team?

Primary Source Analysis
Critical Thinking Assignment #2. The format will be the same as the first, except you will analyze a different source from pages 36-58 in the Course Reader. You may choose any source you want from those pages. The specific directions are on page five of the syllabus and the Course Reader with the sources can be found in the Announcement section. Let me know if you have any questions.
Your task for the critical thinking skills assignment will be to analyze a primary source from the Course Reader. The essay should be 1 – 2 pages. It should answer the questions, who, what, when and why? It is recommended you use this format:
Introduction: Who? When?
Next 1-2 paragraphs: What? What does the primary source say?
Next 1-2 paragraphs: Contextualize the primary source. Why does the author write what he/she does? What historical events and trends are shaping the author’s perspective? This the challenging part.

Patient-driven adaptive technology
Choose a current or recent social issue that is related to ethnic studies. Include/choose theories such as racial formation theory, whiteness, indigenous decolonization, structural functionalism, and intersectionality. Use social theories to frame the issue, and identify 3 or more perspectives from differing points of privilege to oppression, from conquest to resistance.
Here are the specific instructions:
3 components:
– creative piece (1 page double spaced) : creatively present the specific topic you chose to a general audience. Possible formats could include newspaper article or commercial/advertisement. Illustrate complexity of issue and clearly communicate an ethnic studies perspective. Illustrative piece or picture may be included on this page (1 page max).
-research based analysis ( about 5-6 pages double spaced): Detail the complexities of the topic you chose; cite a minimum of three strong outside sources (books, journals, scholarly websites, articles, online publications). Use sources to help you articulate compare and contrast different viewpoints on topic. Properly cite all sources. For each viewpoint include:
