As the future leader, you have are called to develop your Personal Leadership Plan. Your plan must reflect best practices following Global Leadership Competencies. To enhance my competencies in my global leadership role, there are some areas that I will need to improve on. For instance, one area that needs improvement is cross-cultural communication to break the communication barriers. Mendenhall et al. (2018) posit that the leader should be willing to learn foreign languages and contrasting cultures across the globe to develop competency. Leadership training courses will be another resource useful in educating myself on motivation concepts, as this is among my objectives. Leadership workshops will be another resource that I will use to enhance my knowledge of global issues. The workshops will be an avenue to interact with other leaders, gain insights on global issues, and learn new strategies that I can apply in my leadership.
