One of the brain facts I found fascinating is fact 13 which explains that our brains are continually active to keep the body running smoothly. AsktheScientists (n.d) states that we use more than 10 percent of our brains. I found this interesting because I have heard it mentioned in talks, shows, and other forms of media, that humans only use a maximum of 10% of their brain. However, this article and other research studies have refuted this belief that I and many others have heard repeatedly over the years. According to Travis et al. (2018), the percentage of the brain in use varies depending on the activities the person is doing or thinking about. Also, a research study conducted by the Frontiers in Human Neuroscience debunked this myth to show that humans use more than 10% of their brains. Travis et al.
