Answer preview

More and more organizations are operating in a globalized business environment. Due to this, employees often find themselves working with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds (Jain & Pareek, 2019). Working on a global work team can be challenging. This is because the cultural differences between team members can adversely affect communication, undermining collaboration and achieving shared goals or objectives (Jain & Pareek, 2019). In line with this, one should consider several specific considerations when working on a multicultural global work team. Since culture greatly influences people’s decision-making, actions, and communication patterns, one of the vital considerations is the different cultural communication styles used by other global team members (Maddux et al., 2021). Doing this will reduce ambiguity and miscommunication, promoting effective interpersonal communication.
