The question of who a good and effective leader is, elicits different responses, depending on the person asked and the context within which the question was asked. The subjective nature of the response to this question indicates the different expectations varying people and cultures have for their leaders. Despite this, there are specific universally accepted attributes, skills, qualities, and attitudes; all good leaders should possess. Even though these do exist, an effective leader should endeavor to demonstrate unique leadership (Datiles, 2019). I ascribe to a hybrid leadership philosophy, which is born out of the combination of humanism, situational leadership, and servant leadership.
