Cooperation and collaboration are increasingly becoming vital components of any workplace, including within health care facilities. Nurses and nurse managers are expected to work together as a team to ensure patients have access to high-quality and safe care. Attaining such a goal requires nurses to have the requisite knowledge and technical skills. Even though nurses are adequately prepared for the duties they expect to undertake once they complete their academic ventures, there are certain bits of knowledge and skills that cannot be taught at school, and as such, are mostly acquired at the workplace, as a nurse goes about their activities while interacting not only with other nurses but also doctors and other health care professionals.
