Answer preview

It is believed that the Ebola virus has existed for many years. The following factors facilitate the re-emergence of the Ebola virus. The first factor is encroachment into forests. Ebola virus is commonly found in wildlife animals like apes. These animals may contaminate objects like fruits and trees. Therefore, when people live close to the forest, they are likely to come into contact with the Ebola virus as they gather fruits and firewood. The second factor is the consumption of wildlife animals. According to CDC (2021), some animals can host the Ebola virus without showing signs of illness. People can think that they are eating healthy wildlife animals but end up contracting the virus.
