According to Refinish69 (2007), 3.5 million people encounter homelessness annually, and among them, 39% are youths and children. Homelessness is a major social problem which contributes to issues like substance abuse. Most of the victims turn to drugs and even alcohol to cope with the tough situation which always leads to addiction. Unfortunately, EuroNobbz (2008) holds that substance abuse is a leading cause of mental illness due to the high levels of stress among individuals.
