Despite the numerous benefits associated with the HRIS systems, various drawbacks limit the realization of these benefits and consequently may lead to failure of these systems sometimes. Some of the reasons that lead to the failure of these systems include firstly, unclear organizational goals for the system. In this regard, the system is bound to fail due to unrealistic goals. This is because, for this system to yield benefits, realistic goals should be set from the onset of the implementation. Secondly, HRIS systems usually lack flexibility as well as have issues on adaptability. As a result, some processes within the business may not be registered correctly in the system or may hinder adoption of some new elements.
