I believe that based on the constitution we use today; the Supreme Court did make the right decision. Sports’ betting is currently considered to be a significant issue which justifies the involvement of the Supreme Court. Though making individual state laws may have proved beneficial to the specific states, significant decisions that affect the country at a national level ought to be made by the Supreme Court. Their involvement increases the chances of objectivity, that is, a judgment that is made solely based on the facts and not influenced by emotions or individual opinions and views. The Supreme Court is also mandated by the Constitution to look into the interpretation and validity of laws. Their ruling questioned the legality of the rules based on whether or not states were mandated to pass them. As a result, gambling companies look forward to a future which holds the possibility of increased revenue and profits. I conclusion, I believe that states should be allowed to meatier on laws on sports betting, however, the supreme court did act rightfully and constitutionally in its ruling.
