In universal public health, preparedness entails all activities that ensure a proper response to a pandemic or a crisis (Eissa, 2020). This could be in the instance of a virus breakout like what happened recently with Covid-19. In such a case, preparedness would speak to the mechanisms of tackling a similar occurrence of equal or more magnitude.
