Unstructured interview questions are characterized by the open-ended and randomized nature of the questions. No standard protocol is followed when administering the questions. The questions asked are not preset like in structured and semi-structured interviews (Creswell, 2013).  For instance, an unstructured interview question would take the form; How would you describe your organization’s efforts matching employees’ jobs with their skills? The question aims to gain insight into the interviewee’s perception of their organization’s efforts in matching employees’ jobs to their skills. It is an open-ended question allowing the interviewee to freely share their thoughts and opinions.
