The ACA has prioritized prevention by setting aside the prevention and public health fund. This fund has been dedicated to fostering programs mainly geared towards encouraging healthy living and eating habits among Americans, promoting exercise to help lose weight, quitting smoking, and excessive drinking of alcohol so that the fight against heart disease is won (Chait & Glied, 2018).
