Data analytics serves different purposes in healthcare. It helps to improve patient care by allowing the analysis of datasets to make informed choices that improve the quality of health services. Data analytics allows for more accurate diagnoses by backing them up with concrete, objective data from credible sources (Mehta & Pandit, 2018). It also leads to more personalized treatments which fit the unique needs, beliefs, and values of different patients. Personalized healthcare translates into higher quality of care and improved patient satisfaction. Structured query language (SQL) plays various roles in analytics. According to Mehta & Pandit (2018), SQL allows data analysts to group information and manage data held in relational databases.
