Reimbursement in nursing involves the payment received by hospitals, and other healthcare providers receive for providing medical services. In the United States, it is a complex system involving several stakeholders, particularly health care providers, payers, and beneficiaries (Baker, Baker, & Dworkin, 2018). Unlike in other industries where reimbursement is straightforward, in nursing, it is a bit complicated, a month-long process with multiple steps being followed to the later.
