(1000 – 1250 words): Students compose an essay outlining their position, attitude or intention towards the specified topic. based on Aristotelian ethics, it is impossible to be friends with many people in the sense of perfect friendship. Yet, the AI offers equal companion and assistance to the majority of technology users, at the same time, especially when it concerns the Chatbots. In this essay, it is argued that technology undermines human relationships by replacing/supplementing human friendships. Based on the Aristotelian ethics principles of friendship, the social AI seeking to supplement/replace the human friendship undermines human relationships since it is a threat to core human values such as commitment loyalty and promotes the popularity of manipulative algorithms, which are not characteristics of perfect friendship desired by human subjects.
