In my opinion, depriving overtime wages to particular employees by exempting them is unfair. First, employees’ salaries remain constant no matter how much they work. Marcum, Cameron, & Versweyveld (2018) found that exempt employees can work at night or during the weekend to ensure everything is in place and not receive payment for that time. Another reason is that employees will be more stressed, but their salaries remain constant. It is because exempting employees means they will have to work longer on responsibilities and obligations that do not reflect on their payment. Another thing is that exempt employees do not receive any bonus, no matter how much benefits they bring to an organization. Moreover, exempt employees usually have less flexibility because they must stay in the workplace until official closing time,
