Violence in schools has become such a rampant issue and it is important that it is put under control. One way of controlling this is by putting in place programs that both the children as well as the parents are supported to take part in. Parents are able to communicate with their children and help in solving their problems in a way that is not violent. Some cases of violence normally start from home and when it is not solved it extends to schools. Students need to join mentorship programs where a student is paired with an adult who acts like their role models and is able to guide them in their behaviors as well as correct them when they are making a mistake. The school management also has a role to play, the students need to fee that the environment they are in is safe (Johnson, 2009). The best type of social movement that I find best for this problem is revolutionary movements. Here people want to overthrow the social system that is already in place and replace it with a different one which would create the imperfections that are there. The type of collective behavior which represent itself, in this case, is the mass hysteria, the violence such as the shootings causes high emotional fear and the students cannot stay in peace, but they have to run to save their lives.(264words)
