Answer preview

There are three main components of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) projected to impact healthcare results and reduce costs positively. One of the elements is the expansion of Medicaid. This program will elevate the number of individuals with access to care. Besides, the number of uninsured persons in the United States will rise due to this healthcare reform. Before Medicaid expansion, most members in the low-income households struggled with health insurance coverage and access to care (Gruber and Sommers, 2019). However, states that implemented this program reported an increased number of insured persons. Apart from improved health care access and outcomes, the costs involved in care are reduced. States that adopted the Medicaid expansions faced minimized budgetary allocations to healthcare due to insurance cover. Reports from the fiscal analysis revealed significant deduction in uncompensated costs of healthcare.
