Organizational psychology

$4.00

Once you have established a reason why unethical decision making may occur in your chosen field of psychology, you will identify and discuss one condition under which a professional is more vulnerable to making an unethical decision.

Such conditions include:

 Inadequate anticipation

 Unavoidable dilemma

 Inadequate sources of guidance

 Loyalty conflicts

 Conflicting ethical principles

 Conflicting legal and ethical responsibilities

After identifying and discussing one reason and one condition for unethical decision making, you will find three peer reviewed research articles to further investigate this reason and condition. From your research you will identify a problem of practice at the root of the reason and a problem of practice at the root of the condition. Based on your research, you will propose a strategy to resolve each problem of practice.

Employee’s job satisfaction

$2.00

Attitudes color every aspect of people’s everyday lives. Attitudes certainly affect an employee’s work life and organizational success. One of the major job attitudes is job satisfaction. The job itself may have qualities or factors that contribute to an employee’s job satisfaction or dissatisfaction; hours, pay, environment, culture, and the amount or type of work all play a role. Other factors can include the quality of social aspects of the workplace environment, such as employee relationships and support. Virtual work can have an impact on job satisfaction, as it may affect social relationships due to reduced face-to-face interaction.

In this Discussion, you will explore job attitudes at play at Walden Sports and come up with ways to measure them.

To prepare for this Discussion:

View Introducing Walden Sports, Inc. found in this week’s media Learning Resources. Assuming the role of a consultant, identify job satisfaction problems within Walden Sports and think about data you may need to collect in order to better understand those problems.
Read the article “Organizational Behavior: Affect in the Workplace.” Consider the production of moods and their consequences in a workplace such as Walden Sports.
Read the article “Understanding Job Satisfaction in the Causal Attitude Network (CAN) Model.” Compare the measurement of job satisfaction models and how that can support your choice of data collection strategy. See Appendix B, the “Detailed Methods” section, on page 28.
Review the article “Attitudes: Satisfaction, Commitment and Involvement,” focusing specifically on pages 9–17. Consider the measurement of and challenges to measuring job attitudes and job satisfaction.

Psychosocial perspective and media research

$4.00

You will be attending an upcoming psychological conference on psychology and mass media. While packing for the conference, you are struck by a particular advertisement you see on television. You have seen this same product advertised in magazines, on the radio, on billboards, and on the Internet. This commercial has you thinking more about the interplay between psychology and mass media. You decide to analyze the advertising campaign and use it as an example during the conference.

Using a psychosocial perspective and media research, you will analyze a product campaign to fully demonstrate your understanding of the effects and impacts of propaganda, social influence, persuasion, and attitude changes on society. You will also examine how your own behaviors are influenced by popular media and mass communication.

Cardiovascular and Lymphatic Systems

$6.00

An understanding of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems is a critically important component of disease diagnosis and treatment. This importance is magnified by the fact that these two systems work so closely together. A variety of factors and circumstances that impact the emergence and severity of issues in one system can have a role in the performance of the other.
Effective disease analysis often requires an understanding that goes beyond these systems and their capacity to work together. The impact of patient characteristics, as well as racial and ethnic variables, can also have an important impact.

Self-assessment test

$6.00

Question Description: As a helping professional, many factors can influence the development of vicarious trauma, including client accounts and your own personal and professional experiences. The shifts in cognitive schemas, as discussed in this week’s Discussion, however, are not absolute. You can participate in activities that can minimize or ameliorate the effects of VT. Self-awareness and self-assessment are critical in identifying the development of VT. It is important to note that practitioners who are more susceptible to VT, such as those working with survivors of critical incidents, especially need to be aware of the symptoms and take steps to minimize the development of VT.

For this Assignment, reflect on the strategies you read about and those you may know from outside this course. Consider those that you use currently or might use in the future to mitigate the effects of VT. Complete the Compassion Fatigue Self Test and analyze the results.
