cognitive process (Stephens et al., 2019). For arguments that are not logical, valid belief bias can lead to inconsistent conclusions with the existing premises. Perceptions play a vital role in deductive reasoning to explain different subjects. The article also explains that believability affects reasoning, causing significant disparities in believable and unbelievable arguments (Stephens et al., 2019). It is the perceptions that make deductive reasoning possible and hence helping people to reach particular conclusions in an argument. This article illustrates that the influence of perceptions in arguments is complex. People are more likely to endorse the valid arguments than the invalid and the believable than the unbelievable arguments (Stephens et al., 2019). This complexity makes cognition a gateway for other cognition processes (Goldstein, 2014).
