Inmates are classified into five different levels. Inmates are classified into one of five custodial levels, which are close, medium, minimum I, minimum II, and minimum III. The ‘close’ category is the most dangerous and is required to live in their cell and work within the security fence with direct armed supervision. The medium level comprises of offenders who it is recommended that they live in their cell but may live in dorms with few exceptions.
