One of my weaknesses is keeping the core content simple. Having so much passion for my work, I find it hard not to go deep into communication when presenting my views about fall prevention. I love to see patients get better. When presenting my findings of fall prevention, I find myself explaining more details whereby some people get tired of listening and end up detaching themselves from the conversation hence missing some key points I had to give. I can improve this by noting down the key points I want to present and train myself to explain with few words so that I don’t lose focus in between, hence getting the audience’s full attention. Doing that will help me connect more with the audience and shine through my passion as it will enable my audience to learn more and understand better, hence practicing it (Arkkukangas, Bååthe, Ekholm, & Tonkonogi, 2020). When the audience is in line with the presenter, people listen more and understand better, thus minimizing the number of falls.
