Education and consistent ethical behavior.

Read Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics Book II, in the course text. In this reading Aristotle (384-322 BCE) explains his theory of “virtues” and its connection to ethical decision-making. He develops an account of good moral habits called virtues and defends these as the key to moral education and consistent ethical behavior. Explain Aristotle’s theory (make sure you quote from the text) and then apply it to the following contemporary ethical issue: In Donald Trump’s address to the United Nations last year he stated, “We [Americans] are guided by outcomes, not ideology.” Read the full text in the attached Wall Street Journal (WSJ) article. What would Aristotle say about this? Again, make sure you quote from both sources, Aristotle and the WSJ, in giving your answer.

Donald Trump’s address to the United Nations last year stated that Americans are guided by outcomes, not ideology. He declared that, for United State to defend itself from North Korea nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles they would destroy that country (Joachim, & Rees, 1952). He declare death and destruction to Iran on nuclear deals, China and Russia were not spared either for their aggressiveness to the neighbors, nor Venezuela for been a socialist regime. He went on to mention some few other countries and declared war. Aristotle in this case would have talked about respect and been friendly to one another, and the ripple effect would have nations been peacefully co existing with each other. Therefore, Virtues should be practiced by all including leaders to enhance a peaceful co-existence among all nations. War should not be an option.
