Effects of child abuse

One of many issues in this unit is child abuse. We say we want to protect our children; however, we continue to fail them at times. Reflect on the readings and the effects of child abuse. Recall news stories that have reported abuse within your own community. Write a reflection paper that addresses the following questions.

The other reason would be that in informing others, they are more likely to act as accountability partners and to keep the offender in check. When left in the dark, the partners may not realize that some actions may act as triggers to the offender when in fact, they do. This makes society at large safer as everyone around the offender is more on their guard. When an offender realizes he is being watched, he/she will most likely behave according to the prescribed norms as opposed to when he knows no one is keeping an eye on him. This adds extra pressure on him to be mindful of his actions in the presence of children.
