Answer preview

Ethics are moral principles that influence how a person makes decisions and choose the kind of life to live. Being ethical on personal grounds means maintaining personal standards that are in accordance with the expected norms of the society. This involves developing and maintaining personal standards that govern my thought process and guide how I respond to problems when they arise (In Jindal-Snape and In Hannah, 2014). Being ethical academically means maintaining academic integrity and a culture of honesty in all aspects of my academic work. This involves avoiding practices such as cheating in exams, plagiarism, and copying another student’s work by upholding the honesty policies set by the school. Being ethical professionally means adhering to the codes of ethics and values that have been set up by the members of a professional organization.
