Answer preview

The ethical dilemma that I have encountered involve a situation whereby I discovered that my boss in a restaurant was being involved in money laundering. Huge sums of money were being brought through the back door and then the daily cash receipts in the restaurant would be inflated so that the money brought from the unknown sources could find a way to the bank as part of the daily sales.  I was in an ethical dilemma on whether to report the boss to the authority or not and I resolved this dilemma by using a friend to file a statement to the police on the ground that he was suspecting unusual activities in the restaurant as a customer. My general education courses have significantly influenced my ethical values on appreciating individual differences whereby I have been able to develop and nurture ethical values such as respect for others, empathy, and fairness(Gunning, 2017). Finally, I college-educated person must have different duties to the society compared to a person who is not educated because an educated person is expected by the society to take the responsibility of educating the uneducated in the society to identify their potential which can utilize to improve their lives.
