Answer preview

The skills approach embarks on skills and abilities which can be learned and developed, and Dr. Wood fails to demonstrate effective leadership on various accounts (Northouse, 2021). Most significant are the conceptual, technical, and human skills needed. Although Dr. Wood is competent in his knowledge, his relationship with members of the project team is not good. Therefore, human skills are the area that requires significant improvement to succeed in his leadership role. Human skills demonstrate the capacity to achieve project goals as a team over the individual.
