When training and learning about being an Emergency Medical Services provider, a lot of emphases were placed on knowing the federal EMS-related laws. This is because as an EMS provider, one would be required to offer services in healthcare organizations that are in different parts of the country and therefore, understanding the federal laws is more important than the local and state laws. There was one time that I found myself in a position where I was not familiar with the EMS laws as I thought. I was attending to a patient, and my superior informed me that according to the law, I was not supposed to do that (Jones, Kue, Mitchell, Eblan and Dyer, 2014).(250words)
