  • Malcolm X was a philosopher, speech-writer, and inspiring speaker for the organization of the Black Muslims. The message of Malcolm X and the organization of the Black Muslims stressed on racial separation as a way of opposing racial discrimination against the African Americans. Malcolm X was opposed to the use of nonviolent methods in achieving racial integration in America and called for the use of ‘all means necessary’ to combat the white violence (Levy and Peter 17). He called for the black people to stop following the Christian religion and argued that the high rate of crime among the African Americans was because they were following the white society and the Western lifestyle. Malcolm X had a strong belief that the black race was the best in comparison to all the others. The strong message and speeches delivered by Malcolm X led to his differences with the leader of Black Muslims Elijah Muhammad and led to him establishing two organizations which were the Organization of Afro-American Unity and the Muslim Mosque Inc.
