Developing a sense of integrity is critical not only within the business setting but also in life generally. Integrity denotes a situation whereby a person’s conduct is aligned with what they believe to be morally right or correct (Hubert, 2017). As such, a person who displays integrity demonstrates a principled dedication to their values and beliefs. In line with this, such an individual will always strive to engage in conduct or decision-making that reflects ethical standards irrespective of the overriding circumstances. The fact that the measure for an individual’s integrity revolves around their adherence to established moral values and beliefs might be quite controversial, considering morality and ethics are subjective.
