    Even though every person within Paradise Hill Medical Center, besides members of the board, believes that the decision not to inform patients of the mistake was the correct one, this is not the case. The first reason for this assertion is that this decision was not made wholly for the patient’s benefit (Bell et al., 2016). Although the physicians are raising valid concerns about the potential impact of telling patients they might have received excessive dosages of the drug, they are predominantly focused on the patients’ perception of the oncology program will be affected. The oncology program has been struggling for a while, considering its market share has been dropping for some time. In addition, the hospital’s primary competitor has committed more resources to revive their failing oncology program.
