Answer preview
Having a healthy pregnancy is important in promoting a healthy birth. Any woman who suspects they are pregnant should schedule prenatal care clinics with their health care providers. Such clinics usually include a physical examination of the pregnant woman, weight checks, and a urine sample (Osterman & Martin, 2018). One area of prenatal care is the ability to reduce pregnancy complications. Following a doctor’s healthy diet, exercising regularly, and avoiding exposure to toxins can help reduce the risks encountered during pregnancy and promote healthy fetal development. If Mary had visited a healthcare practitioner early, the doctor could have been able to monitor the development of the baby.
