Answer preview

Grouping illnesses enhance diagnosis as clinicians may pay specific care to distinguish illnesses in the same grouping (Cohen-Kettenis & Pfäfflin, 2010). DSM helps in classifying the significant similarities to diagnose disorders. In many related diseases, the victims have depressed mood nearly every day, with noticeably reduced interest or desire in almost all activities and eventually substantial weight loss or gain due to decreased or increased in appetite. Also, insomnia, constant restlessness, feelings of worthlessness and inability to concentrate are the noticeable symptoms. Depression is well diagnosed through diagnostic criteria as it possesses almost all the listed traits.
