Conflicts are a common element in modern criminal justice organizations, especially when units must be created to combat certain issues. However, conflicts cannot be completely eradicated in organizations hence the need to manage them. Disagreements can be addressed by applying various strategies such as collaboration, accommodating, or compromising. Although conflicts sometimes are necessary to enhance innovation and competition in the workplace only if they are healthy. In this case study, the law enforcement agencies in all cities decide to create a multi-jurisdictional drug unit to address crystal meth; however, conflicts arise, and not all cities participated.
