Personality assessments entail administering, scoring, and evaluating the personality traits of given individuals. Personality assessments in the workplace are used to determine whether the employee has the necessary traits to fit the organization’s needs. Personality assessments have been used to ensure better organizational decisions especially. However, companies may use the wrong tests for the wrong situation causing a bias in the decisions (Scott et al., 2010). In addition, personality traits should not be the only determiners of whether an employee is qualified or not. Other factors must be taken into consideration when using personality assessments.
