Answer preview

Mr. Bennet insists that the visit to Bingley would include a small note regarding Lizzy who seems to be his favorite. Pride remains clear in Mr. Bennet’s comparison of Lizzy to the others when he explains that the other daughters are ignorant and silly, but Lizzy possesses more alertness and smartness as compared to the other girls. Mr. Bennet seems to favor Lizzy than the other girls while remaining proud of the matter. Mr. Bennet flatters his wife by explaining that her visit to Bingley’s might result in the young man falling for his wife. However, Mrs. Bennet assures her husband that having five daughters promotes a lady to stop thinking about her beauty (Jane, 2017). The prejudice held by Mrs. Bennet on neglecting her vision because of having children is one also portrayed in the entire passage and also in society. Even though beauty is like a flower, it does not equate to lack of care from the lady after having children. Mrs. Bennet, however, explains to her husband about her share of beauty in the past. The word ‘have’ used by Mrs. Bennet possesses more than one meaning.
