Answer preview
Most individuals are oblivious to the value of taking care of their mental well-being, instead preferring to focus on their physical well-being. This phenomenon can have an adverse impact on their overall wellness, especially since it can lead to workplace performance challenges due to an underlying psychological issue. For nurses, failure to take care of their psychological well-being can have severe consequences, such as increasing the likelihood of them making mistakes that jeopardize the well-being of patients (Magtibay et al., 2017). Working as a nurse can be an immensely stressful job. For some, this is compounded by the fact that they have to worry about their academic commitments on top of their work commitments.
