Answer preview
During my pediatric clinical rotational, I got to experience many instances where collaboration played a significant role in the success of diagnosis and treatment processes. One example is of a teenager who was brought to the facility severely injured on one leg. It happened that he had been introduced to drug abuse and sometimes he could get depressed to the point of contemplating suicide. As a result, he got injured after he had tried to rush into a busy highway. In this case, a multidisciplinary approach was very much needed. The teen required surgery to correct the injured tissues and most importantly needed psychological attention. Therefore, he was handled by both some surgical physicians and during his time in hospital he was visited severally by a psychologist and of course pediatricians ensured he received the attention that he required for recovery.
