According to chapters 20-23, some of the theories that were discussed mainly were organizational theory and the open system theory. To begin with, the organizational theory is that theory that tries to examine the organization’s environment internally concerning behavior and nature. On the other hand, the open systems theory is a theory that focuses on the external interactions of the organization (Borkowski, 2015). One way that we can compare the two theories is that both are centered on the inputs and outputs of the organization. The organization theory is concerned with what are the internal affairs and what is produced inside the organization. On the other hand, the open systems theory considers the flow of information from outside sources and how it is circulated inside the organization. Another comparison of the two theories is that the actors that affect them. Both the organizational theory and the open systems theory are influenced by the external factors in unison (Borkowski, 2015).
