Choose two of the stories from the list below, and write an essay that advances an argument about how the protagonists find self-identity and value in their jobs, or struggle with the limitations and constraints of their jobs“. Proulx illustrates the lives of two men, Jack and Ennis (2). Both Jack and Ennis came from a humble background and were school dropouts. They sought employment in the nearby ranch whose happen to be Joe Aguirre. Although they hardly knew each other, jack and Ennis get to know each other deeply after being hired by Joe Aguirre. Ennis is hired as a camp tender and Jack as a herder.  Jack was supposed to sleep in the wilderness, protecting the sheep from thieves, wolves, and other wild animals that may harm them.  He was supposed to elect a tent and spend the whole night in the wilderness.
