Answer preview

Strength-based solutions value the potential that is in people. They acknowledge the knowledge, skills, and connections that people have within them as powerful tools that can enable them to be better. Strength-based practice does not view people as weak and helpless but instead emphasizes the ability of clients to overcome adversity using the resources they have. They assist clients to identify their strengths, resources, and resilience which makes them view themselves, not as victims of circumstances but rather, overcomers. Strength-based solutions improve social networks and enhance wellbeing (Smokowski, Rose, & Bacallao, 2008). By creating a sense of optimism and hope, they promote the emotional, psychological well-being of clients. In conclusion, social work impacts different aspects of the society at various levels.
