It is important to note that there exist two types of infections the first is from pigs to humans, and the second is from humans to humans. However, diseases from pigs to human beings are rare. The main worry is that the human swine flu strain can infect the pigs (Jhaveri, 2020). As a result, there is a possibility that the infection can occur from the pigs to human beings. The first step in addressing the infections from pigs to humans is by vaccinating the pigs. This will minimize the rate of infection; thus, the chances of infections from the pigs to the humans will be lowered (Wiley, 2020). The other way of preventing this type of infection is by using protective gear when interacting with pigs. A farmer needs to wear a protective gown, face mask, and gloves when interacting with the pigs.
