The international sector has had both positive and negative impacts on local organizations in my community. It has offered the advantage of new ideas, technology, and innovation that local organizations can adopt to better their products and services. Höllerer, Walgenbach & Drori (2017) note that globalization through multinational companies has increased cultural diversity, which forms a good base for creating new ideas for local organizations. However, the international sector has intensified competition for local organizations in my community. More people are entering the market, which has forced the organizations to lower prices on their commodities, decreasing their profit margin.
