Generally, terrorist activities fall into two broad categories. They can either be indiscriminate or focused (Hoffman, 2018). Throughout history, these activities have predominantly been focused. During the prior years, terrorist activities primarily sought to attain political goals. These goals were reached by targeting specific political actors and involved some aspect of the conflict, although indirectly between terrorist groups and their adversaries (Hoffman, 2018). Hezbollah’s early terrorist attacks are a perfect illustration of this. The group is suspected and known for perpetrating many anti-United States and Israel terrorist attacks. Some of them include the suicide truck bomb that exploded at the American Embassy coupled with the United States Marine barracks attack in Beirut in October 1983, the attack on the American Embassy annex in Beirut in September 1984, detention and kidnapping of American and Western hostages in Lebanon, the attack on the Israeli Embassy in Argentina in 1992, and the suspected bombing of the Israeli Cultural Center in Buenos Aires in 1994 (Avon et al., 2012).
