Managers’ roles do not only encompass planning, organizing, decision-making, controlling the organization, and communication. They also perform other roles like performing ceremonial duties of the organization, being the organization’s spokesperson, negotiating on behalf of the organization, and leadership roles that involve coaching and encouraging employees. The roles of managers are also changing, whereby they are also required to understand sociocultural values and traditions so that they can respect diversity since the world is becoming a global village (Walker, 2020). Managers are also required to play other external roles in addition to the internal roles within the organization. For instance, they are required to respond to the changing market needs while also ensuring that the organization generates profits
