Answer preview

The intervention I would recommend to the clinical director is screening the youths and children for trauma. The effectiveness of the screening was demonstrated by low academic performances for the students screened for trauma disorders such as PTSD. The screening would provide the basis for treatment of the traumatic disorders through the therapy program (Ko et al. 2008). This intervention program is valid because most of the children and youths who suffer from trauma go untreated and unidentified and the effects may not be instantaneous. The intervention would be reliable as the population for screening would be available in schools where performance can be evaluated against results from learning institutions. Usually, the traumatic disorder such as PTSD is associated with impaired performance among the children.
